Division Leagues
We offer 5 Division Leagues, D1 thru D5 that accept male and female players of all skill levels. Players/subs must be 50+ years old and Villages residents, full-time or seasonal. No partner or rating is required to register. Players pay a $6 league fee and are assigned to a Division each season after registration has ended. The Division Leagues are offered in the Fall, Winter and Spring.
D1 thru D4 have a team format with male and female players making up teams of 10 or more players. Players that register to be on a team should plan not to miss more than 3 weeks during the season. Subs are needed and pay no fee to register. Subs indicate the weeks they are available to sub. There is a captain for each team that manages the team, including determining the pairings each week and getting subs as needed. Mixed and/or gender games are played each week. D1 & D2 play 6 games each week and do not report scores to DUPR. D3 & D4 play 4 games each week and report scores to DUPR.
D5 has a separate Women’s and Men’s Individual Ladder League. Each week the players that opt-in to play are placed on a court with 3 or 4 other players and play 4 games against/with those players. There are no subs in D5 because players can opt-in to play when they want to play. D5 scores are reported to DUPR.
SCHEDULE for each Division:
- Division One (D1): Plays on Monday in a team format – 10 – 12 noon – Truman and Fishhawk.
- Division Two (D2): Plays on Tuesday in a team format. – 10 – 12 noon – Everglades A and Everglades B
- Division Three/Four (Combined D3 – D4) – Plays on Tuesday in a team format – 10 – 12 noon – Water Lily; Clarendon; Fish Hawk, Olympia B
Division Five (D5): Plays on Friday. Men and Women continue to play separately in a ladder format.
- D5 Women – 10 – 12 noon – Homestead and Franklin
- D5 Men – 10 – 12 noon – Saluki
